Motion reads: "That this House is deeply concerned at doubts cast by Nirex's leaked memorandum over the viability of their nuclear waste disposal project; backs Cumbria County Council's demands for the reopening of the public inquiry into the RCF scheme; calls on the Secretary of State for the Environment to delay his imminent decision on the planning application for the RCF laboratory until Nirex's latest safety assessment information has been published and interested parties have been afforded a full opportunity to comment, and for these comments to be addressed; and draws attention to the need for a debate in the House about the future of the United Kingdom's nuclear waste management programme."
